Hannah Peel

Hannah Peel is surely one of the most prolific multidisciplinary artists around. In addition to her solo album release in Awake But Dreaming in the last 12 months her band The Magnetic North released their widely praised second album, ‘Prospect Of Skelmersdale’, she has collaborated with Erol Alkan’s Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve and created the music for the moving ‘Santa Forgot’ TV advert for Alzheimer’s Research UK which was screened in the run up to Christmas 2016. Ever creatively restless and forward-thinking, she’s been composing a new record with new synth-based, space-age alter-ego Mary Casio – a characteristically experimental piece combining analogue electronics and a 33-piece colliery brass band, debuting to a sold out Manchester audience in May ’16. Although modestly she shies away from any comparison, it’s little wonder The Observer describes Peel as ‘a great singer and a latter day Delia Derbyshire.’

“A beautiful record – one of the albums of the year” –  Lauren Laverne, BBC 6 Music

“Sonic ravishment. Enchanting” – **** Daily Mirror

Great White Lies

In 2015 Great White Lies released their debut EP to critical acclaim including a nomination from Pure M for best EP and winning VAI Song of The Year. Among their many shows they have headlined Galway Fringe and most recently toured North America in 2016.
